Monthly Rentals

Thank you for your interest in a monthly rental with Lake Michigan Cottages.

Lake Michigan Cottages is a short term vacation rental company.  After our vacation rental season, some of our homes become available to rent on a monthly basis.  The best way to get information beyond what is on this page is to contact us by email, info@lakem.com or calling us toll free 800-870-3393.

Our homes that are available can be viewed using our standard search methods and then running a rate quote for the dates you desire within the "Rates and Availability" page.

Off Season Rental TIPS:  Begining the day after Labor Day, our rates are drastically reduced and can be booked with a 3 day minimum.  They also can be booked for a month, which would be a price break from booking four weeks.  An additional discount is given when two months is booked, and the rates can be prorated if longer than one month but less than two months.  The best price point, with the heaviest discounts comes when you rent a home from three months to nine months.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

Q: Are utilities included in the price?
A: Our online quote displays rental rates that include utilities for stays two months or less.  Anything longer than two months does not include utilities. 

Q: Is there an application and Lease?
A: There is an application and lease for all rentals that are longer than one month long.  The application allows us to get general information regarding you as a tenant along with allowing us to perform a credit and rental check.    

Q: Are the homes fully furnished?
A: All of our homes are fully furnished with furniture, kitchen amenities, beds and linens!

Q: Who is responsible for snow removal?
A: We will provide snow removal for the main driveway, you will need to maintain the walks of the home.
